Host a Neighborhood Collection for Live Thankfully

Dates: March 30 – April 4

The Mission: Help us stock the shop and grow our mission! Your porch collection provides quality items for women and invites new neighbors into the Live Thankfully family.

What we’re collecting: We are focusing specifically on New/Gently Used Women’s Items:

  • Women’s Clothing (all seasons)

  • Women’s Shoes

  • Handbags & Accessories

The Game Plan

Follow these 4 simple steps to make your collection a success:

1. Get Equipped

Sign up to be a Captain! Once confirmed, pick up your LT Collection Box and yard signage to mark your home as a drop-off point.

2. Spread the Word

Text, email, or post on Facebook to let neighbors know you’re the Live Thankfully "Point Person" collecting women's items all week. Use our digital PDF to share the news—or request physical flyers for mailboxes when you pick up your box!

3. Manage Your Porch

Place the box and sign on your front porch in a visible spot.

  • The Welcome Kit: Place a small basket next to the box containing tax receipts (provided by LT).

  • Daily Maintenance: To keep items safe from weather or "porch pirates," please move donated items into your garage or car each evening.

4. The Final Hand off

Once the week is over—or if your box fills up early—you have two easy options:

  • Drop Off: Bring the items directly to the Shop.

  • Request a Pickup: Text us, and we will come swap out your full box or pick up the final haul.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Nope! While we’re "Spring Cleaning," we happily accept all seasons. If it’s women’s apparel, we want it.

  • That is perfectly okay! While our focus is women’s items, we won't turn a donation away. We will simply pass those items along to our partners at Compassion to ensure they get to someone in need.

  • For this specific porch drive, we are sticking to clothing and accessories to keep the boxes manageable. Please encourage neighbors to bring their home goods directly to the LT Shop!

  • We envision a Monday–Saturday collection, but you know your neighbors best! If you prefer to host a "One-Day Only" Saturday blitz, just specify that when you message your group.

  • That’s a great problem to have! Simply text us for an early pickup, or if you’re headed our way, feel free to drop it off at the store.
